Jon Duprau

Jon leads the investment management team, with more than 20 years’ experience working in portfolio construction, trading, and portfolio management across all markets. In his position, he works closely with institutional investors on a wide variety of investment and risk management needs by coordinating resources, aligning priorities, and establishing processes for achieving their investment goals.

Jon’s background is in portfolio management, beginning as a Quantitative analyst at Prudential Securities where he worked to develop rules based investing, then studied technology’s effects on the capital markets as a portfolio manager. He was an early practitioner in passive investing and has worked on the academic formulas that created enhanced indexing, the evolution of combining active and passive approaches in indexing. Prior to Alex Brown, Jon led an institutional team at J. P. Morgan where he was able to help institutions capitalize on the firm’s quantitative research.
